Vermont Repertory Theatre was imagined in 2023 by Michael Fidler and Connor Kendall to reintroduce professional quality, classic and classical theatre to modern audiences around Burlington, Vermont.

Vermont Rep is a non-profit company, run by people whose only goal is to produce a professional quality theatrical product at community theatre prices.  We pride ourselves on what we do and we pay ourselves nothing - every single penny raised through ticket sales and sponsorship goes directly onto the stage.

The company is intended to serve not only our audience, but also the many professional and ex-professional theatrical practitioners of the area, many of whom can only demonstrate their extraordinary skills in a theatrical arena with budgets that support lavish costumes, scenery, hair, lighting and all the other elements of production design that combine to bring popular theatre to life on a stage.

Vermont Rep is committed to keeping tickets as affordable as possible to the widest possible spectrum of our public.  Because we are able to keep costs down by not paying ourselves, we are in a position to keep the quality of theatre exquisite, while offering tickets at deeply discounted rates.  We are especially proud to offer discounted student tickets, believing profoundly that we all need to invest in the future generations of theatre lovers.
