A Smorgasbord of Shakespeare
Join us in a celebration of Shakespeare’s First Folio, exactly 400 years after its first publication. In this extravagant multi-media performance, we will feature excerpts from all the 18 of Shakespeare’s plays we would have lost, as well as learning a whole bunch about the world’s second most important book along the way…
With live excerpts from 10 of the plays performed live on stage by our VT Rep company, as well as some extraordinary big-screen video performances from the great and the good, we will take you on a Shakespearean romp that ranges from the profound to the utterly ridiculous. Every scene will have its context explained as part of the show, and this is a great opportunity to learn a little about the plays you’ve never heard of, as well as catch some of the classic moments from the big titles! And please bring your kids - the show is appropriate for ages 12 and up.
